In his artistic research, Stefanio Di Stefano, portrait artist, painter and art teacher, worked with water colours, charcoal, Indian ink and tempera, producing a large number of significant works.

“Composizioni di memorie” is the name of the exhibition that paid tribute to the artist from Siracusa and related Stefanio’s life through his works, offering the public sketches, portraits of ordinary people and of film stars, views of the south-east of Sicily and original creations which were the fruit of his imagination. The exhibition revealed talent of a man of the twentieth century who divided his time between Rome and his native land, as picturesque today as it was yesterday and eternal like the beauty of his works.
