The project aims to achieve the following objectives: maximum productivity and flexibility and reliability of the measurements, minimum maintenance costs, safety, minimum dust emissions, optimization of spare parts management using components of existing production. The plant includes engineering drawings of layout, flow-sheet, a list of the main components and the general specifications for the development of detailed engineering. The electrical engineering includes a functional block diagram of complete functional description, P & ID, documentation of electrical components, parts list and wiring diagrams. The provision is on the modification of the existing channel, through the installation of a motorized turntable that also allows the power supply to the new conveyor belt. A pneumatic diverter was installed at the base of the conveyor for the fee- ding of two waiting hoppers, with a capacity of 2.5 m3 each, for the receipt of coal and aluminum both in pieces, and electromagnetic vibrating feeders were installed for the discharge of the latter that feed a weighing hopper with a capacity of 1.3 m3 able to receive a mix of carbon and aluminum, comple- te with damper and pneumatic vibrating channel suitable for the existing channel. The system also provides the sup- port structures and service required for the inspection and maintenance of the equipment provided. The equipment is in accordance with the Tenaris Dalmine standards and all applicable Italian and EEC regulations. The mechanical mounting of the equipment described above was carried out by Contimpianti SpA as well as the supervision of the assembly and com- missioning. Order management and site activities have been verified in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 certification by the “DNV” with very satisfactory results.
