For two years we’ve been analyzing this market and working to be present in this region of the world. We believe this is the right time to start up in South America, while also giving support to the work of Gregory Bertulessi in Brazil. Our presence at the FICEM APCAC conferences (Guatemala, 2007 - Panama 2008 - Bogotá 2009), associations that represent most of the cement companies in the Inter-American area, made us
realise the need to be physically present in a vast region which, despite having been affected by the global crisis, is currently in full recovery. One example is the massive development on the part of Brazil. So we must be able to read what the market conditions are, in order to be ready to react to different situations that may arise. The opening of this office will be a means of being closer to future work opportunities: it will allow us to respond more quickly to the needs of our customers and allow us to keep on top of all our projects.
