ALBATRO TEAMNETWORK SIRACUSA continues to look beyond national borders. Such an action closely matches the growth and development policy of the company and of the main sponsor, the TEAMNETWORK group, that focuses on making sports also a formidable growth and development factor for the entire area. Already this summer, during the retreat in Slovenia, the Albatro played a friendly match with Rudar Trbvolje, a first-division Slovenian team, sponsored by “LAFARGE CEMENT”.

Now, within the context of this initiative to internationalize relationships, two important events took place in which the necessary technical and agonistic aspects were combined with those more closely related to marketing and business. The first of these was a quick visit to Pamplona, in Spain, at the beginning of January, by the president, Aldo Modica, and the company’s sports director, Leonardo Lopasso, to establish a close cooperation-based relationship with Portland San Antonio, one of the best teams of Asobal, the top Spanish league, sponsored by “CEMENTOS PORTLAND VALDERRIVAS” for more than eleven years. Fruitful discussions were held with Portland’s president, Miguel Gallaraga, with the Spanish team’s sports director, Javier “Zupo” Equisoain and with the team’s manager, Javier Cabanas. This get-together led to a series of joint development (and technical) programs that bodes well for the creation of different scenarios in Albatro’s near future. It also paves the way toward meetings between the top managers of the sponsors.

The long January retreat in Hranice, in the Czech Republic, also helped to strengthen the good relationship established last summer with the East European teams. Participation in the “Cement Tournament” also helped Albatro bolster the already good international sports relationships with some of the most prestigious European clubs. For the top managers of the Teamnetwork group, Alfio Pattavina and Ferruccio Conti, it was also an opportunity to meet the managers of “CEMENT HRANICE DYCKERHOFF”, Hranice’s main sponsor.
